Chang Beom Lee, MD, PhD

Chang Beom Lee, MD, PhD, is the founding principal investigator of the Filipino Women's Diet and Health Study (FiLWHEL). He is currently Professor of Internal Medicine at Hanyang University College of Medicine, Korea, and Chief of Internal Medicine at the Hanyang University Guri Hospital. Dr. Lee’s major research interests include prevention and treatment of endocrine disorders, such as diabetes, thyroid disease, and osteoporosis.

Jung Eun Lee, ScD, is the founding principal investigator of the FiLWHEL. She is Associate Professor of Food and Nutrition at Seoul National University, Korea. Dr. Lee's research focuses on the role of diet in the etiology of chronic diseases, including cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.

Sangmo Hong, MD, PhD, is the founding co-investigator of the FiLWHEL. He is Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Hallym University Medical Center, Korea, and Endocrinologist of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital. Dr. Hong’s research focuses on the etiology of endocrine and metabolic diseases, with an particular emphasis on prevention and treatment of obesity and diabetes.

Sung Hoon Yu, MD, PhD, is the key investigator of the FiLWHEL. Hs is Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Hanyang University College of Medicine and Division Chief in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Hanyang University Guri Hospital. Dr. Yu’s research focuses on investigation of risk and prognostic factors for endocrine and metabolic diseases.

Grace H. Chung, PhD, is the key investigator of the FiLWHEL. She is Professor of Child Development and Family Studies at Seoul National University. She is currently Director of Multicultural Human Ecology Center at Seoul National University's Research Institute of Human Ecology. Dr. Chung's research focuses on understanding adaptation and well-being of multicultural families and adolescent children.

Grace Abris, PhD, is a founding member of the FiLWHEL study. She obtained a doctoral degree from the Sookmyung Women's University in 2017 and is currently performing Post-doctoral fellowship at the Adventist Health Study II at Loma Linda University, USA.
